Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Health and Safety
All attendees must comply with the health and safety guidelines as mandated by the venue and local authorities. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. We reserve the right to remove any attendee who poses a health or safety risk to others. Please follow all directional signage and instructions from event staff to ensure a smooth and safe flow of traffic throughout the venue.
Liability
Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. The event organizers are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. By attending the event, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event organizers, its employees, and its agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your participation in the event. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, and any other liabilities that may arise.
Attendance & Badges
To ensure a secure and professional environment, your official event badge is your all-access pass and is required for entry into all sessions, meals, and scheduled activities.
- Visibility: Badges must be worn and visible at all times within the event venues.
- Non-Transferable: Badges are non-transferable and may not be shared with others.
- Government ID: In addition to your event badge, you are required to carry a valid, government-issued photo ID with you at all times. This is essential for venue security and for entry to any off-site activities.
- Lost Badges: Should you lose your badge, please report it to an event staff member immediately.
Dress Code
The overall dress code for the event is Smart Casual. We want you to be comfortable while maintaining a professional atmosphere.
- Meeting Sessions: For general sessions and meetings, please opt for attire such as slacks, skirts, or dark jeans (free of rips or tears), paired with polos, collared shirts, or blouses. We request that you refrain from wearing t-shirts with prominent graphics during these sessions.
- Comfort is Key: Meeting rooms are often air-conditioned, so we highly recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater, or blazer. As there will be some walking, comfortable shoes are strongly encouraged.
- Activities & Travel: For travel and specific team-building activities, casual and comfortable clothing is perfectly acceptable. Please refer to the final event agenda for any activity-specific dress codes.
Device Policy
This event is a celebration of our work and the Android ecosystem. To proudly represent our platform, we ask for your cooperation in showcasing our own technology during all official event functions.
- Showcase Our Best: We encourage you to use your Google and Android devices throughout the conference.
- Competitor Products: We kindly request that competitor products (e.g., iPhones, MacBooks, iPads) be kept out of sight during meetings, sessions, and in all common event spaces. Please consider leaving these items in your hotel room or stowing them in your bag.
Hotel & Accommodation
The cost of your room and associated taxes for the nights of the event are covered by the Android team. To ensure a smooth billing process, please be aware of the following:
- Incidental Charges: Attendees are requested not to add any incidental charges to their hotel room bill. This includes, but is not limited to, room service, mini-bar purchases, movies, or laundry services.
- Personal Responsibility for Charges: Upon check-in, the hotel may require a personal credit card to be placed on file for any incidental expenses. You will be held personally and financially responsible for any and all such charges you incur during your stay.
Photography
Photography and video recording are permitted for personal use. Please be mindful of others and do not block views. Professional recording equipment is not allowed without prior consent from the event organizers. By attending, you grant the event organizers permission to use your likeness in photographs or video for promotional purposes.
